Provn are seeking a Senior Data Privacy Specialist on behalf of our client, a global financial services business who are committed to upholding the highest standards in data protection. This crucial role will involve supporting data protection initiatives across Europe, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and leading key projects to maintain privacy standards.
The Role:
- Support Compliance Efforts: Assist the Data Protection Officer in implementing data protection obligations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies across Europe.
- Project Leadership: Manage international data protection projects, collaborating with stakeholders across various business units and levels of seniority to drive successful outcomes.
- Compliance Program Development: Design and develop the data protection compliance program for Europe, including task timelines and budget management to achieve high-quality implementation.
- Regulatory Analysis: Evaluate projects, processes, and new solutions for compliance with data protection laws and industry guidelines, offering expert recommendations.
- Governance and Documentation: Update and govern data protection policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring they meet current legal and business standards.
- Process Improvement: Create and optimise data protection processes to enhance efficiency and monitoring throughout the organisation.
- Compliance Monitoring: Track adherence to legal requirements and internal policies, ensuring obligations are met.
- Contractual Guidance: Provide recommendations for agreements related to data protection, ensuring compliance.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA), to ensure data handling practices are secure.
- Training and Education: Prepare and deliver data protection training for employees to foster a culture of compliance.
- Regulatory Engagement: Draft responses to regulatory requests and maintain communication with supervisory authorities.
- Audit and Reporting: Conduct data privacy audits and compile reports to track compliance performance across the business.
