Klarius Products Ltd is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket emissions components in the UK, based in Cheadle, Staffordshire. The business offers a range of over 10,000 premium components, available with next morning delivery in vast majority of the UK. Parts offered by Klarius include exhausts, catalytic converters (CATs), diesel particulate filters (DPFs), mountings and accessories – all of which are designed to match or exceed the application performance of the equivalent OE part. Products cater for most of the automotive spectrum, incorporating everything from SUVs to sports cars, classics to light commercial vehicles and everything in-between.
Role brief:
We are currently looking for an IT helpdesk support technician to support Klarius Products. This includes but is not limited to maintenance and support of desktop/server hardware, including desktops/laptops, printers and phone systems. The support, maintenance and development of existing software applications written in Excel and Access. The successful candidate will have to be able to work from the office 5 days per week to support with on-site IT issues.
Key tasks of the post will include:
- Handle day-to-day enquiries received from the organisation
- Ensuring a high-quality of customer service is provided at all times
- Using your IT knowledge to fact-find and problem solve
- Ensuring that IT stocks are maintained at appropriate levels
- Ensuring the departmental records are kept up to date and maintained, including annual contracts, software licenses, and business assets
Training and skills
- ESSENTIAL: IT Technical Support experience
- ESSENTIAL: Windows Server experience
- ESSENTIAL: Remote desktop support experience
- ESSENTIAL: Familiarity with network hardware, standards and protocols: Active Directory, Firewalls, Switches, Access Points, TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, VPN, IP Telephony
- ESSENTIAL: Office 365, including VBA
- DESIRABLE: Symantec Endpoint Protection
- DESIRABLE: Mimecast
- DESIRABLE: SQL
- DESIRABLE: Access
- DESIRABLE: Exposure to programming languages such as VB
- DESIREABLE: I-series exposure
The person:
· Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
· Maintain and create proper documentation for systems support and maintenance.
· Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
· Proactive identification of any potential problems and propose improvements
· Achieving and maintaining the required level of technical knowledge and qualifications that is necessary for the role.
· Regular feedback to users on progress and resolution via email, telephone and face to face updates
· Undertaking any other reasonable activity as requested
Hours of work:
- Mon-Fri: 09:00-17:00 (negotiable)
