Job Description
We are working with a leading client who is looking to hire an experienced IT Cloud Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bristol. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a 3rd line infrastructure role (or similar) and the ability to manage multiple projects and workloads with varying priorities.
As part of this role, you will report to the IT Cloud Team Leader and act as a subject matter expert across a wide range of infrastructure technologies. You will handle IT requests, incidents, and issues while also monitoring and maintaining infrastructure. Additionally, you will provide 3rd line technical expertise on various IT projects.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd line technical support for hardware and applications.
- Implement new applications and systems, while maintaining and improving existing ones.
- Manage system performance, including monitoring and optimisation.
- Review and manage system capacity requirements.
- Maintain configuration documentation and ensure best practice guidelines (e.g., ITIL) are followed.
- Safeguard data integrity, security, and access through IT continuity plans and tools.
- Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and resolve them according to priority and customer needs.
- Work with IT teams and problem management to coordinate and resolve service outages.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify and report security risks.
- Develop knowledge and skills through training and continuous learning.
Additional Specialist Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Intune, focusing on laptop OS and application deployment.
- Provide expertise on Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
Skills & Knowledge
- 3+ years' experience in a 3rd line infrastructure role or equivalent.
- Proficient in using Intune for laptop OS and software deployment.
- Expert in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Strong knowledge of current desktop, laptop, and Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or SCCM for maintaining Windows 10 builds (Desirable).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Server operating systems, Office 365, AD, and DNS.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for client applications, hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and general networking skills, with an emphasis on wireless networking and VPNs.
- Familiarity with two-factor authentication and email security solutions (Desirable).
- Experience in the legal industry (Desirable).
Qualifications
- 5+ GCSEs (A-C).
- ITIL V2 or V3 Foundation.
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional qualifications (Desirable).
