Job Summary
The Sleep Lab Technologist will be responsible for the sleep studies and communicating with the patient and physicians procedural related inquiries.
The Sleep Lab Technologist must have the consummate knowledge of the regulating guidelines, laws, and regulations necessary for the sleep lab as instructed by the Joint Commission and/or the State of South Dakota Health Department and Medicare.
The Technologist must comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
~ Successful completion of an accredited educational program in polysomnography and certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician; or a Registered Respiratory Therapist; or other healthcare related experience required, or Completion of a Polysomnographic course with hours and study documented via a certificate of completion.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Respiratory Therapy required or other healthcare related experience required.
If not registered upon hire date, candidate must obtain registry within 18 months of hire date.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 72 hours every2 weeks
Night shifts
No weekends or holidays
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
~$26.25 - $39.50 per hour
