Job Title: Senior Project Planner – Substations
Location: Hybrid (3–4 days remote, 1–2 days on-site)
Contract Type: 12-month Contract (Outside IR35)

We’re looking for a Senior Project Planner with substantial experience in substation and HV (High Voltage) works to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a flexible, hybrid setup with a team dedicated to excellence and innovation.
Role Overview: As a Senior Project Planner, you will bring your in-depth knowledge of substation projects and high-voltage systems (above 66kV) to plan, coordinate, and monitor project timelines using Primavera P6. You’ll work remotely 3–4 days a week, with 1–2 days spent on-site as required. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring projects remain on track, from initial planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and oversee detailed project schedules for complex substation and HV works, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are clearly defined and achievable.
- Utilize Primavera P6 to create, monitor, and adjust project schedules based on progress and resource availability.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to coordinate and optimize project activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and suggest mitigation strategies to ensure the timely delivery of all project phases.
- Provide regular project status updates, flagging any risks and making recommendations for adjustments to keep the project on track.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with substation projects.
- 3+ years of experience with high-voltage (HV) works above 66kV.
- 5+ years’ experience using Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Valid driving license and own transport for site visits as needed.
