Network Infrastructure Engineer | North London | Initial 6 Month Contract
Experis have partnered with a brilliant client based in North London looking to recruit a Network Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 6 month contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining secure WAN and LAN network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support for network, network security infrastructure, telecoms and VOIP technologies (Extreme, Cisco, Mitel).
- Ensure high availability and diverse connectivity in WAN and LAN technologies.
- Participate in a 24x7 out-of-hours support rota, providing network, infrastructure, and application support as required.
- Contribute to the Infrastructure Team’s work program and task list.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage telecom systems, VOIP technologies, and contact centres.
- Provide technical expertise and project management for projects including network infrastructure design, implementation and testing.
- Maintain best practice policies, processes and documentation for network management, reviewing and updating regularly.
- Document all network systems, covering implementation, admin accounts, security controls, and dependencies, supporting business continuity.
Key Experience Required:
- Previous experience working in an Infrastructure Network role.
- Extensive experience supporting complex network infrastructure including: LAN, WAN, Extreme, Cisco, Mitel VOIP, Firewalls, Telecoms, VPN.
- Experience with DNS and DHCP Management.
- Experience supporting network infrastructure in a large and complex setting.
- Administration and fault finding experience of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.
- Experience with systems protocols such as DICOM and HL7.
- Cisco CCNA Certifications.
- ITIL qualifications (desired).
