We are currently looking for an experienced Associate Partner with extensive experience in the government/public sector to join our team.
Role Overview: As an Associate Partner in our Technology & Data Practices , you will play a key leadership role in delivering cutting-edge technology and data solutions to public sector clients. You will help drive Valcon’s growth by building strong client relationships, designing innovative solutions, and leading high-performing teams in government transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Lead business development efforts to grow the Technology & Data practice within the public sector. Identify new opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and develop proposals for large-scale transformation projects.
- Client Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of complex technology and data transformation programs in the public sector. Work with clients to understand their challenges, develop innovative solutions, and deliver tangible business outcomes.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide thought leadership on technology and data transformation within the government and public sector. Develop strategies that align with client objectives and drive long-term transformation and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor high-performing teams of consultants, data experts, and technology specialists. Drive a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the practice.
- Technology & Data Expertise: Utilize your expertise in data governance, technology strategy, and cloud migration to help public sector organizations modernize their IT and data environments. Ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within government departments and public sector organizations, ensuring alignment on project goals and objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive Experience in Public Sector/Government Consulting: Demonstrated track record of working with government bodies or public sector organizations on technology and data transformation programs.
- Technology & Data Expertise: Strong expertise in areas such as data governance, cloud strategy, digital transformation, SaaS implementation, and data analytics in the context of public sector services.
- Business Development: Proven ability to identify and win new business opportunities in the public sector, particularly within technology and data consulting.
- Leadership: Experience in leading teams of consultants, technology specialists, and data experts. Ability to mentor, develop, and inspire talent.
- Client Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector compliance, regulations, and security standards (GDPR, public sector cloud policies, etc.).
- Commercial Acumen: Experience in managing project budgets, financial forecasts, and profitability in large-scale consulting engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science, data science, business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data management frameworks.
- Experience working in the public sector in the UK or across Europe.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-million-pound government transformation projects.
