Job Summary
CDW UK is currently in the process of rolling out our ServiceNow platform, and we are seeking a Business Analyst to join our expanding team in support of this mission critical platform. As a Business Analyst, you will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to comprehend business requirements for information and insight, enabling informed business decisions.
The role involves understanding all processes within CDW's ServiceNow instance, including but not limited to, CSM, ITSM, and CMDB.
Key responsibilities
CDW UK is currently in the process of rolling out our ServiceNow platform, and we are seeking a Business Analyst to join our expanding team in support of this mission critical platform. As a Business Analyst, you will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to comprehend business requirements for information and insight, enabling informed business decisions.
The role involves understanding all processes within CDW's ServiceNow instance, including but not limited to, CSM, ITSM, and CMDB.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Document business processes and related procedures to provide CDW with visibility of the current state.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, gather feedback, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Work with the development team to maintain accurate and up-to-date process maps as new functions and features are released.
- Collaborate with CDW business systems Product Owners, Solution Architects, to provide recommendations for solutions and work with stakeholders to identify objectives, opportunities, and potential benefits.
- Develop a strong understanding of products and solutions currently in use, focusing on business outcomes.
- Conduct thorough analysis of data and metrics to measure process performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
- Participate in the Agile development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story prioritization.
- Collaborate with Testing/QA teams to define test cases and acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and process guides.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in business process management.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Must Have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business/Process/Systems Analyst.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with ServiceNow, encompassing its modules and functionalities.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, particularly in the context of ServiceNow development.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to elicit current-state business processes effectively.
- Skill in comprehending, exploring, and documenting processes and procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills, enabling the translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience of mapping and creating business processes, services and functions to visualise how they do and could work, including the organisation, people, processes, information, data and technology.
- Experience of defining success criteria and measures, including outcomes, key results and key performance indicators.
- Options assessments, from exploring feasible options for business problems and opportunities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results while managing competing pressures and deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Passion for technology and its potential to drive positive business impact.
Nice to have:
- Certification in Business Analysis or ServiceNow.
- ITIL V3/V4 certification.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in Process and Systems Analysis across multiple interconnected or integrated platforms.
