Principal Software Engineer - Hybrid working
Salary up to £125k+ Benefits + Bonus
A Principal Software Engineer / Lead Software Engineer is required to join a high performing software engineering department. The company are building on specific product skill sets within their teams due to expansion and require an experienced Principal Engineer to play a key role in leading the delivery of key customer facing software products.
The Principal Engineer will engage and lead experienced internal software engineers, utilising modern technology to create and deliver applications used by a massive customer base. The business offers flexible hybrid working options with 3 days at one of their offices, which are in London, Hampshire, Berkshire areas (whichever is preferred).
Responsibilities include:
- Influence technical direction across a range of Software products
- Implement and improve software engineering practices - SOLID principles, etc
- Play a key role in steering product delivery working with associated teams
- Write high quality code in a PERN environment
- Following Shift left processes
Key experience
- A passion for using modern technology to create effective customer facing software products
- Experience in leading Agile teams or projects within Marketplace, or similar environments
- A strong background in software engineering and hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node
- Experience in technical decision making and Event Driven or Microservices architecture
- Well versed with modern cloud platforms with a preference for GCP and AWS
